WORKS FOR ME WEDNESDAY

Head over to Works For Me Wednesday! Today is backwards day. Instead of posting a tip...today you post a question or you post a problem that needs a solution.

So here is my dilemma:

I am looking for a great work out program that will turn me into that size 6 that I dream of. (okay...I'd settle for a size 10)

Any suggestions?

It really all depends on your time limitations, desire and determination, and if you are working out at home or not. I have been doing a workout routine of alternating days of strenght training (which I move throug quickly to make it cardio like) and then cardio days of 45 minutes of walk/run/elliptical stuff.
It has taken a while to make any changes, but after 5 months, I started to notice some weight loss, toning and more endurance and strenth. I am on my way...I'll never be a 6 though, lol.
My main recommendations are both cardio and strength training. And workout HARD, don't just go through the motions, it's a waste of time. :)

I found your blog from WFW. I found the Couch to 5K program to be good for getting in shape. I'm not sure how much running you currently do. If none, you might want to start with walking then start the program. I just started the program back up. Good luck!

I was going to suggest the Couch to 5K program as well! I just started and it seems to be a great way to get me working out. I would also recommend if you decide to do the C25K that you download some of the podcasts so someone is telling you when to walk/run so you don't have to have your eyes glued to a watch. Good luck!

I got Wii Fit. It is a fun way to exercise (I need a fun way, because I have never liked exercising) and I can do it in the privacy of my home. I ban anyone from looking on as I do it. :-) It keeps track of my progress (or lack of progress). I have a loooong way to go, as i wasn't the fittest when I started.

My question is - living with 5 collectors of "stuff" - how do I get rid of it all? Our house is full. I am starting to sneak a bag or two here and there to the trash. I love black bags. But we have a long way to go. :-)

I will answer your question and ask one :-)

As far as exercise is concerned - I just got a Wii Fit. It is fun - you can do it in the privacy of your home (I ban anyone from watching me) and it keeps track of your progress (or your lack of progress).

My question - de-cluttering my house - our house is full. Yes, I take a big BLACK bag once in a while and sneak it to the trash when no one is looking, but we have major stuff in our house and I am too nice to get rid of the big stuff.
